Why Organic?

Here are just a few good reasons.:

• Organic cotton is grown and harvested without
pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and chemical fertilisers.
• Conventional cotton is the second most heavily sprayed
crop and fourth heaviest user of synthetic fertilizer, one
t-shirt requires: 7 tsp of synthetic fertiliser, ¾ tsp of
active ingredients: pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and
defoliants.
• Safer for farmers, for you, for your baby, for the planet
and for all the creatures with whom we share it.
• Feels softer, smells cleaner, less likely to trigger allergies.
• Hemp stock can be used to make paper and organic
plastics.
• Hemp may also be useful in carbon sequestration –
taking carbon out of the air and putting it back into the
earth.
• Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on this planet, has
been recorded growing at 47.6 inches in 24 hours.
• A grove of bamboo release 35% more oxygen than
equivalent stand of trees.
• Bamboo is a viable replacement for wood, it can be
harvested in 3-5 years vs. 10-20 for trees.
