Best Coffee Ever. Seriously!

It’s called the AeroPress and it works on the same concept of an Espresso Maker. The water is heated to a very precise 175 degrees Fahrenheit, coffee ground fine, stir for 10 seconds, and plunge immediately for 20 seconds. The combination of 175 degree water, very little time for the coffee to sit in the water, and steady pressure creates a cup of coffee with very little bitterness and wonderful flavor. It is portable, a space saver, fun to use and makes GREAT coffee!

If you are from the European side of the world you would know about the Soda Stream soda maker. This is a product that could have and will change the way people consume beverages in Canada. Getting the fizzy into your own water is as simple as CO2, and takes seconds!

The ironic thing about me selling a pop machine, is that I was known as the non-pop drinker when I was a kid, juice and water only for most my life….until now! I love having Bubbly water in my fridge, I can have a nice fizzy drink anytime I like…and it came out of my tap!

The best part is still yet to come. If you do the math on this, somehow including the carbon imprint in the calculations, it would look a little like this:

- at 300 liters the soda stream is costing 83 cents per liter totaling 250.

- that is equal to 150 bottles of store bought at 1.69 per bottle, totaling $253.50

- now factor in the amount of trips to the store, strength exerted, time spent, fuel consumed in those trips.

- now factor in the amount of space it occupied in your home.

-now factor in trips to the Bottle Depot, time spent loading and unloading, waiting in line, fuel consumed.

The same amount of soda water from your own Soda Stream would have required 4 trips to your local Soda Stream retailer to replenish your CO2.

Pretty easy math on my calculator…but then I was a non-pop drinker so what do I know.

Kanoe Baby Hammock

We call this item the “Sleep Saver”. Everyone we know that has purchased this item has come back to tell us how great their baby sleeps in this hammock, and how easy it is to get them back to sleep when they do wake up.
